FTTP

What are the correct network settings for my Comporium FTTP connection?

Answer:
Customers should set their TCP/IP properties up for DHCP (default setting) to accept an IP address automatically. Static IP customers will need to enter their static IP information in Network Settings.

Why doesn't FTTP service have a "modem"?

Answer:
FTTP (Fiber to the Premise) utilizes a fiber optic gateway on the side of a residence/business. This converts optical packets into Ethernet packets and replaces the need for an on-site modem.
