VoIP Features

Comporium’s Hosted VoIP Solution provides three tiers of license options, each with different sets of features, giving employers and decision makers the ability to decide the features each employee needs. Users can have different features activated so that the license is tailored to their particular job requirements. All license tiers include basic dial tone and a set of Group features to complement the User license features. Below is a breakdown of the features.

 Basic Call Logs Provides a list of the name, number, time and date of dialed, received and missed calls.
Caller ID Displays the incoming caller’s name and number.
Calling Name Retrieval Retrieves the name of a caller in an external database if the name did not arrive with the original call.
Call Transfer Transfer calls to another caller using your phone or web-based callcontrol.
Call Forward Always Automatically forward all incoming calls to a different phone number. Additionally, the Ring Splash option emits a short ring burst when calls are forwarded. This is a helpful reminder that the Call Forward Always service is still activated.
Call Forward Busy Automatically forward incoming calls to a different phone number when the line is busy.
Call Forward No Answer Automatically forward incoming calls to a different phone number if the phone is not answered after a certain number of rings.
Call Waiting Alert of an incoming call when the line is in use and allows toggling between the two calls.
Do Not Disturb Send calls to voice mail without the phone ringing and callers hear a busy tone. Additionally, when activated, the Ring Splash option emits a short ring burst informing that calls are being sent to voice mail. This is a helpful reminder that the Do Not Disturb service is still activated.
Malicious Call Trace Captures a trace/report of incoming calls and sends the report to Comporium for investigation.
Customer Originated Trace Issue a trace to Comporium of the last incoming call by dialing a feature access code.

Remote Activated
Call Forwarding

Enables users to activate, deactivate and program Call Forwarding Always service from any external phone via the Voice Portal.
Voice Mail Answers calls when the line is in use or the user is unavailable and provides users the flexibility to use and manage messaging services from anywhere, over any interface. Unified messaging provides even further options, such as sending a copy of the voice messages to e-mail addresses in an audio file.
Unified Messaging Provides users the ability to receive an audio file of new voice mail messages in an e-mail account.
Personal Web Portal Configure and manage basic telephony services via web interface.
Personal Voice Portal Provides an entry point for users to access, use and configure Voice Messaging, Remote Activated Call Forward and CommPilot Express.The Voice Portal can be reached from any phone and each user hasa unique configurable password to access their menu of services.
 
Incoming Calling Plans Allows the group administrator to set up rules that will block specified incoming calls to their company, department and/or individual users. Users have the ability to view the rules via the Web Portal.
Outgoing Calling Plans Enables the group administrator to block users from making certain types of outgoing calls, such as long distance, toll or premium numbers. Users have the ability to view the rules via the Web Portal.
Inventory Reports Generates inventory reports on phone numbers, devices, users, departments and services to the group administrator.
Intercept Groups Allows the group administrator to take an entire group of phonesout of service and provides callers with informative announcements and alternate routing options.
Series Completion Forwards calls to a selected series of phone lines in a specific orderwhen lines are busy.
Group Web Portal Web Portal that empowers the group administrator to provision services to users and manage group-related activities.
Group Voice Portal One number access specific to a group Voice Portal.
Call Intercept Enables group administrators to intercept calls routed to a non working internal line with informative announcements and alternative routing options.
Calling Group ID Delivery Allows group administrator to configure the Calling Line ID and group name for outgoing calls to be used instead of personal Calling Line ID.
Calling Line ID Gives the group administrator the ability to configure the displayed
Configuration user names and calling numbers.
Configurable Extension
 Dialing
Enables the group administrator to map directory numbers (DNs) within a group to unique extensions.

Configurable Feature Code

Allows the group administrator to configure the feature access codes (star codes) associated with the services using the CommPilot Group Web Portal. Administrators have the option to assign up to two different feature access codes for the same service.
Configurable Code Prefix Allows group administrators to assign up to two prefixes to precede feature codes.
Hunt Groups Allows users within a group to be included in a specific sub-group to handle incoming calls received by an assigned Hunt Group number.
Instant Group Call Allows a user to initiate a call to multiple parties in the groupsimultaneously. (Limited to 12 contact numbers.)

Call Return Enables users to return a call to the last party that called, whether ornot the call was answered.
Call Hold Place calls on hold using a phone or web-based call control.
Call Trace Enables users to request a received call be traced automatically bydialing a feature access code after the call.
Internal Calling Line
ID Delivery
Displays the incoming caller’s name and number of callers from inside the group.
External Calling Line
ID Delivery
Displays the incoming caller’s name and number for callers fromoutside the group.
Calling Line ID
Delivery Blocking
Allows restrictions to be set on the calling line identification of incoming calls, including blocking the identity of the callers.
Anonymous Call Reject Prevents calls from being connected when the caller has explicitly blocked their number.
(Does not apply to calls within the same group)
Intercept User Allows a phone to be taken out of service while providing callerswith informative announcements and alternate routing options. (Must be executed by the group administrator)
Speed Dial 8 Set up to eight numbers to be reached by dialing only one digit.
Speed Dial 100 Set up to 100 phone numbers or SIP-URI addresses to be reached bydialing a predetermined prefix and two digits.
Flash Call Hold Put callers on hold and toggle between multiple calls using the phone’sflash hook or dialing a feature access code.
Last Number Redial Redial the last number dialed by entering a feature access code or usingthe web-based CommPilot Call Manager.
3-Way Calling Enables users to initiate a three-way conversation or conference call.
Shared Call Appearance Allows for one phone number to be put on multiple phones or stationsand enables incoming calls to ring simultaneously. The first phoneanswered is connected and stops ringing on all other phones or stations.
 
Directed Call Pickup Enables incoming calls at one station to be answered at another station using a feature access code.
 
Directed Call Pickup with Barge-in Allows users to barge-in on another user of the group while they are on a call.
 
Barge-in Exempt Prevents users from being able to barge-in on others users in the group who are on a call.
Diversion Inhibitor Prevents redirected calls from being redirected again. (Ex. Prevents Voice Mail from picking up when using SimRing, Sequential Ring or Instant Group Call)
Enhanced Privacy On Hold: Enables users to designate a held call as “privately held” in order to prevent others in a common group from retrieving the held call. These calls can only be retrieved from the station in which they were put on hold.
CommPilot Call Manager Web-based client that provides a visual, graphical user interface used to initiate, manipulate and receive calls.
CommPilot Express Allows a user to change their status and availability using four preconfigured profiles: Available: In the Office, Available: Out of the Office, Busy and Unavailable.
Ring Splash Enables users to have a short ring burst played on their phone when the following services are triggered: Call Forwarding Selective, Call Forwarding Always and Do Not Disturb.
Call Screening by Digits Screen calls when pre-defined criteria are met (phone number, time of day, day of the week, etc.)
  1. Selective Call Acceptance: Accept calls when pre-defined criteria are met.
  2. Selective Call Rejection: Reject calls when pre-defined criteria are met.
  3. Call Notify: Send e-mails to a specified e-mail address with the caller’s name and number when pre-defined criteria are met.
  4. Priority Alert: Set distinctive tones to ring on the phone when pre-defined criteria are met.
Call Forward Selective Automatically forward all incoming calls to a different phone number when pre-defined criteria are met, such as the phone number, time of day, day of the week, etc. Additionally, the Ring Splash option allows a user to program their phone to emit a short ring burst to inform them that a call has been forwarded. This serves as a helpful reminder that the Call Forward Selective service is still activated.
Multiple Call Arrangement Allows users to make and receive multiple calls independently on their different Shared Call Appearance locations.
Remote Office Allows a secondary phone (wireless, home, hotel, etc.) to be used as the business phone. When activated, all calls from the secondary phone will appear as if they are being made from the business phone number, and all calls can be billed to the business.
Simultaneous Ring Ring multiple phones simultaneously when calls are received.
Sequential Ring Ring multiple phones in a sequential order when calls are received.
Alternate Numbers Have up to three DID numbers/extensions assigned to each user. The primary number will have a normal ring pattern and the secondary numbers will have distinctive rings/alerts and ringing patterns. All outgoing calls will come from the primary number.
 
Calling Line ID Blocking Allows a user to override the calling line identity presentation
Override Per Call (CLIO) restrictions, and always receive the calling line identity, if available.
 
Outlook Integration Enables users to integrate Microsoft Outlook contacts with the CommPilot Call Manager and have all contacts in one location.
 
Toolbar Desktop application that allows users to make and receive phone calls, and change telephone settings from within Internet Explorer or Microsoft Outlook.
Communicator(Softphone) Feature-rich desktop application that allows the PC or laptop to be utilized as a telephone for IP communication.

Account Codes Outgoing callers are prompted for a code before making an outbound call. Calls can be tracked by account type (client, project, employee, department, etc.)
Authorization Codes Outgoing callers are prompted for a code before making an outbound call and the call is only connected if the code is valid.
Busy Lamp Field Provides visual monitoring of users’ telephony status via a hardware attendant console. (Note: Requires Polycom IP601 with sidecar)
Call Capacity Management Allows the group administrator to manage the number of inbound and outbound calls allotted for specific groups. Once the maximum number of active calls has been reached, no more calls can be received and callers will hear a network busy tone. (Note: Limitation does not include calls made within the same business group.)
Call Park Allows attendants and administrative assistants to park calls on a user’s station with a simple transfer.
Call Pickup Enables users to pick up any ringing line in their pick up group. A pick up group is a defined set of users within the group, to which the call pick up feature applies.
Enhanced Outgoing Calling Plan Provides group administrators with a greater degree of control over outgoing calls made from within a group. In addition to blocking or allowing certain call types or digit strings, administrators also have the authority for Authorization Codes, Sustained Authorization Codes and Call Transfer options for the group, department or individual users.
LDAP Directory Integration Enables users to access contact names and phone numbers from an external LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) directory using a tab on the CommPilot Call Manager. The tab enables users to click-to- dial a contact and search by contact name.
Music on Hold Enables group administrators to upload an audio file onto the system to be broadcast to held parties. Users of the group are able to enable/disable Music on Hold on a per call or persistent basis.
